The new year is hear

After all the Xmas cheer

Now your mind is flooded with ideas.

Oh, I need to make some changes it says,

So you decide to set some new years resolutions for 2020,

In a hurry

Pen and paper, tablet or phone

You rush to note down

Your plans.

Lose weight

Write a book

Right a hook

Invent a product

Or business.

Are just a few things

Which may come to your mind

Then the nerves go off inside

Where will I find the time

To fit all this in?

After all this may not be the first time

You set intentions to begin

Working towards

Your  new year’s resolutions

But prior plans

Failed to take off

Or life got in the way

No matter the reason

No today is a new season

Past failures

Do not mean future distress.

Yes, I know you have commitments,

Work   after all

Bills to paid.

The kids maybe

Who you have to stop

From going astray

The list is endless

As are your

New years resolution ideas.

I have some tips to help

You reach your goals

Instead of rushing in

Fast

How about you start off  Slow.

Instead of beating your self up

Vow to slowly change your ways

This is the only way

You can achieve your new year’s resolution ideas, anyway

Step by step

Day by day

If you fall down

This little ditty

Then you can slowly climb out of

Despair and self-pity

Over not meeting

In 2020, so set back and relax
